A small update: it seems to work fine for about 20-25 days, and then it needs a restart, and usually one power off - power on cycle is not enough. Sometimes the WiFi hangs up, does not work, and any devices which try to connect get some sort of "failed to obtain IP address". If I "reset" the WiFi network (change channel or mode and then save), it works.
Sadly, it's been a year and there is still no way to fix this. I had faith in this device, and it was fairly expensive when it was purchased.

An update is on the horizon, we thank you for the feedback and patience.

Was curious if you'd be interested in trying v1.06WW?

So, last night I installed fw 1.06, and today when I got home from work I couldn't connect to the 2.4GHz network (I tried from 3 devices - two phones and one laptop). It remained on "finding IP address..." indefinitely. I could, however, connect to the 2.4GHz GUEST network, and on the 5GHz one.

I disabled the guest network (based on LED activity it turned off and on both wireless networks) and everything is OK now. I don't know for how long :D

Thanks for posting. I don't have Guest zone enabled on mine, just the mains. I haven't seen any issues thus far. SmartConnect is enabled on mine as well. I do know that I haven't seen any issues on 2.4ghz as my DCS-933l is connected on that frequency only and if something happened I'd get notification of it's disconnection. I suppose I can enable Guest zone maybe, however I don't have anyone to use it.
Is SC enabled on yours?

No, SC is disabled (I did not know what it is, I just checked). I don't know if this has anything to do with the guest network. It's a nice trick, but I can live without it if this "triggers" the problem.

Try with out Guest zone, then I'd like you to enable Link>Smart Connect Technology  and report your findings.

I didn't see Smart Connect before, is it only from 1.06?

Should I enable it now, with the Guest zone disabled, or wait for any problems without SC?

I think it came in on v1.05 however I don't remember exactly. Lets enable SC can test.

Sorry, I've deleted the wrong post.

I had some screenshots with the configuration, but they were from 1.03, so you must be right. I've enabled SC and I'll wait and see what happens.

Thank you

The problem still exists for me in this firmware. Last night I could not conect to the (single) wifi network with any of my devices. Failed to obtain IP address... I'm really disappointed about this problem. There are other people complaining about this problem on the site where I purchased the router, so there are more "out there".

I'm going to open a final ticket with dlink on their support site.

Ok, let us know how it goes. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem so you may have just a faulty unit and would be worth getting it RMAd and into a new one. There's a beta out however not sure if this will effect anything on your side. Keep us posted.
