Seems similar to what I see mostly. Either initial set up and connection of the 192 and speed test using it results in the adapter disconnecting. Since the other day after posting my results, the adapter has been online and working. I'll be speed testing again today to see if anything is reproducible.

Endless Fluff,
Yep, different issue from Ankvi. It might be a hardware issue but Ankvi has not mentioned which version of OS.

How about manually reconnecting? Disconnect, wait for a few minutes and re-connect.

Try this.

Just retested speedtests using FF browser. No disconnects seen. Seems stable. I presume if I change wifi or possible reboot PC or reset up the 192, I might see something again.  ???

Endless Fluff,

Have your problem solved? I got this problem on Fall Creator Update too! The problem is exactly same as you get.

Attempted to replicate but its been running for 7 hours straight.

DWA-192 A1 with Driver 1.05B03
Windows 10 Pro 64bit Creator v. 1703 OS Build 15063.413 (just updated 8/31/2017)
DIR-878 default 5Ghz settings with WPA2 (only 3 out of 7 clients connected on this band)
Wireless Adapter connected at 1.3Gbit with 5 bar signal strength.

Continuous upload/download to local FTP storage at 40-60 MB/s
7 Youtube videos on auto-play.
Yeah, wait. This wasn't my problem. My Adapters crashes after I boot my PC and that happens almost all the time, it doesn't happen as often if I do a reboot, but it's almost guaranteed to crash after a fresh boot and only if the Adapter wants to connect to 5GHz.

I then have to replug the thing and only then it works. It works without issues, I have no crashes and the performance is stellar as long as the PC runs, even for 40 hours, there are no disconnects atfer replugging it. The disconnect/crash happens only after boot OR in some very rare cases after I lose my wireless lan connection (restarting router) and it has to connect to 5GHz again. Then there is a chance of it crashing, but this happens rarely. It doesn't happen as often when I just reboot my PC (like I said before that's a 50:50 chance of it happening)

I have checked the event log, though I don't know how much help this is going to be since it's in german

Those warnings and errors pop up after each time/boot it crashes.

My exact Windows build is
Windows 10 Home 64bit Creator v1703 Build 15063.54

but like I said, this has been an issue ever since the Creators Update. It never happend before the update and I was using the Adapter for half a year before that.

What region are you located?
What Mfr and model# router are you using with the 192 adapter?
What Mfr PC are you using with the 192 adapter?
Does the PC have USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports?

My 192 is working well for me on Windows 10x64 on my PC using a post installed USB 3.0 PCI card.

What region are you located?
- Asia/Thailand

What Mfr and model# router are you using with the 192 adapter?
- ASUS RT-AC86U, previously using DIR-878 still get the same problem. Just change the router to make problem scope closer. This conclude that the problem is not a router.

What Mfr PC are you using with the 192 adapter?
- Motherboard : ASUS Z170 Programing
- CPU : i5 6600k
- RAM : 16GB DDR4
- Windows 10x64 Version 1709 Build 16299.248 (Fall Creator Update)
- DWA-192 Driver : 1.05B03. Also installed Intel Wireless Software, who have suggested in another topic but doesn't works.

Does the PC have USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports?
- Yes and It already connected to USB3.0

The problem is occur when restart Windows with automatic connect to WiFi Network 5Ghz. Once the adapter connected then it disappear from devices manager. I need to unplug and replug it.

What wireless modes are you using on the ASUS router? Mixed or single mode?
What security mode are you using?
Be sure any USB power management features on the PC are disabled as as well for the USB port and the adapter.
Is MIMO, Beam-forming or Smart Connect enabled? If any of these are enabled, disable them and test.

Is the USB cable that came with the adapter directly connected to the PC or is there an extension usb cable in between the adapter and PC? If so, this cable needs to be USB 3.0 compliant. Not any USB cable will work with this adapter.

Might review this as well:

- Tried both Auto and N/AC Only but results are the same.

What security mode are you using?
- WPA2-Personal

Be sure any USB power management features on the PC are disabled as as well for the USB port and the adapter.
- Already turned off in device management.

Is MIMO, Beam-forming or Smart Connect enabled? If any of these are enabled, disable them and test.
- Disable MIMO, Beam-forming doesn't works at all. Looks like it is a driver issue, the device disconnect after it finish automatic connected. I need to replug it manually to make it work.

- Directly connected to the USB3.0 port on motherboard with given USB cable in the package.

Can you test 5Ghz temporarily with WPA2 disable to see if the adapter disconnects?

When you installed the 192, or updated the driver, did you install the driver over the last version or did you remove the previous version first then install the latest driver?

Disable security or Open system is doesn't works. The devices still disconnect itself after connected to the network.

While installing the driver, unplug the device then uninstall the driver, reinstall the driver then plug the device. Following the instruction on setup wizard screen. Nothing works...

I have move it to another PC and here the results:

Windows 7x86 - Restart&Autoreconnect --> OK
Windows 10x64 16299.192 - Restart&Autoreconnect --> OK (Both USB2.0 & USB3.0)
Windows 10x64 15063.909 - Restart&Autoreconnect --> OK
Windows 10x64 16299.248 - Restart&Autoreconnect --> FAIL

Maybe the driver conflict with my machine. Any idea? or I need to format my PC?

Seems like this version of Windows or the Update for this version seems to be a cause. Wonder if it's impacting the USB portion of your PC.

"Windows 10x64 16299.248 - Restart&Autoreconnect --> FAIL"

If other version of Windows are working with the 192 and this one version isn't, something I would contact both D-Link support and MS support about.

More update here.. switch from USB3.0 to USB2.0. It WORKS!

Anyway when Windows is starting WiFi is connect and disconnect for two times and somehow it can connect.

Maybe it was a Motherboard USB3.0 Host Controller is incompatible with the DWA-192 driver. Switch back to USB3.0 the problem is come again.

The problem not happen to you because you have use a dedicated USB3.0 PCI Card.

THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED...

The root cause is USB3.0 Cable that came from device package was defected.

The solution is just replace the USB3.0 Cable. I have replace it with my USB 3.0 External HDD and It's works fine.

Restart Windows about 10 times never get the problem, previously the problem come every time the system has been restarted.
