Constant Connection Loss.
« on: January 03, 2009, 08:41:46 PM »

Howdy,

My old LinkSys BEFSR41 v.2 Router had a known issues with Counter-Strike Source (Received fragment out of order: 69/1) and connection issues with it's newest firmware upgrade. I explored what i felt to be all my option and finely gave up. :P

So I purchased the EBR-2310 D-Link router to replace my LinkSys. I've had it for a week now, and I'm having a couple of problems.I keep getting disconnected randomly when i load certain web-pages or re-fresh server lists is some of the games a i play. I've done a bit of internet scrounging and found that this is have been known to happen with this particular router when loading programs like U-Torrent. I Use U-Torrent but not all the time, and i don't always loose internet when it's On. I've been disconnected twice, typing this message. It's like the little router gets overloaded and times out.

As a temporary fix, i go threw the quick trouble shoot connection in the "NetWork Magic" Program. I don't have to follow the steps just clicking next seems solve the programs.  ???

Any information on perhaps how to solve this issue would be really appreciated.

I still haven't solved this issue. I've search high and low on the FAQ and still no answers. (I've lost the receipt, so returning is not an option.)

navigate to the status page of the router, locate the WAN section and reply with the IP address listed there.

Call your ISP, and ask them to bridge your modem. They'll help you with that. Once thats done you may have to call our support to re-configure your router if you're not familiar with dong it.
