Problem with my DIR-619L and Samsung TV (ua40ju6700)
« on: July 10, 2017, 08:27:22 AM »

I recently bought a recently bought a Dlink Router (DIR-619L), and did the usual setup.  All of my devices except for my Smart TV are functioning correctly.  The TV can connect to the router wirelessly or via LAN cable, and it mentions that it is connected to the internet, however none of the apps on the TV works.  I know its a router setting problem because when I try to connect using my old router then the TV works fine.  I know that my ISP's modem / router is set to bridge mode.

I am using the following Wireless settings:

Wireless Mode : Wireless Router
Enable Auto  Channel Selection : yes
Security mode : WPA/WPA2
Cipher Type : AUTO
PSK/EAP : PSK

I have tried the following:
1) Unticked "Enable Anti-Spoof checking"
2) Unticked "Enable SPI"
3) Enabled DMZ (and placed the IP address of the TV)
4) Unticked RTSP
5) Unticked UPnP
6) Ticked "Enable Multicast Streams"
7) Ticked "Wireless enhance mode"

Both the TV and Router are up to date with regards to the firmware.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

5) Unticked UPnP> Should be Enabled.

What is the WAN IP address the 619 is getting on it's WAN Port? ##.##.###.###? or a 192.168.something.something...
DMZ shouldn't be needed for any TV media.
What is the MFr and model# of this TV?
