I just bought today a Bad new DNS-343 and Seagate Barracuda SataIII 3TB HDD today, but when I run the wizard it fails on the format around 64%. I tried both EXT2 and EXT3 both fail "Format Failure".
This is what displayed on the webadmin for the Seagate HDD:

1    Seagate    ST3000DM001-9YN1    W1F0A5CK     3000 GB.

Error Message:
Hard Drive(s) Formatting Failure (Error Code:17).

The DNS-343 only supports HDDs up to 2TB capacity.
3TB HDDs are not supported.
