dir-879 or dir-880L
« on: April 01, 2020, 09:43:16 AM »

Hey guys, any advise?
Need a router and have an option to buy discounted 879 or 880L, which one to choose? I don't care for usb ports, but does 879 lack mu-mimo unlike 878 and would that matter?

I would go with the 882. It supports MIMO and 1733Mpbs on 5Ghz. The 878 does not do 1733Mpbs support.
The 879/880L has been discontinued and thus no more FW updates unless there is a security patch that is critical. Otherwise no more feature updates.
