Post by: vdavap on April 18, 2008, 12:07:52 AM
Intermittent disconnects. Purchased a DWA-643 Xtreme N Wireless-N Notebook Express card, installed latest driver. Express card constantly disconnecting/dropping signal. When connected, it does appear at 300 Mbps. Not sure what to configure on the router to resolve this issue.

I would suggest you update your router firmware.  I believe it is currently on A11.  See if that helps.

Vdavap,

Does your PC lose connection as well? Or is it just the laptop using the adapter? If both laptop and PC are losing connection.. I would look at the logs in the router.

Hello :

Try it with the router on channel 6 , maybe a wi-fi protection setup turned on , after that power cycle router for a couple of seconds if you'r signal keeps getting disconnected check the logs on router ( also make sure the rest of you'r computers are not loosing the internet )

If the issue is only wireless try updating router firmware to the latest one.
