Client mode

I got a Blu-ray Player for Christmas and it can download movies from the internet when it's networked. However it only has a port for a wired connection. I have a WBR 1310 that has been sitting in a drawer, I wondered if it can be set to client mode or bridge mode so I can use the corded ethernet connection with the blu-ray and then wirelessly connect it with my wireless network?

I'm not all that tech savvy, so I can't tell from reviewing the manual whether it's going to be possible or not ???
