Hi, I am having dlink 2730U wifi router and changed the admin userid and password for security reasons. I saved the cfg file , but since the harddisk failed , i could not open the router page. It was a strong coded username and password. Could i access the router page, thro your link so that i could change the username and password without opting the reset, which needs reconfiguration again. If i could, thro your link, i will be happy to use it

- What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?
The modem needs to be reset if you don't remember the log in PW information. Even if you had the saved configuration file as back up, you still would have to gain access to the modems web page to use the saved configuration file.
Factory reset the modem.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. BUt if i reset , i have to reconfigure. Is there anything that dlink provide to retrieve the admin user and pw details
-
No. A factory reset must be performed. D-Link does not acquire or keep in any forum any router PW information generated by users. If users forget the PW or can not access the routers admin web page, a factory reset must be performed.

Hi, Thanks. I do not mean that they are saved in dlink server. So, i had to reset and reconfigure. Thanks
