Title: dcs-2630L stability fixes
Post by: tmartz88 on March 18, 2018, 05:33:53 PM
i have figured out through trial and error that this camera is a very good product. the connectivity issues is not a hardware issue, it is all software problems. when i brought this camera, i got 2 of them, i of course tried using the mydlinklite mobile app, i had so many issues trying to connect the cameras to the app, with very little luck. i even tried using the pc app that dlink has and advertises for use with this camers, and had problems there too. i figured id try a different mobile app, and to my surprise, the camera was so stable, it almost never has disconnects. the app i used is called, "ip camera viewer lite" i had to setup port forwarding, one for LAN & one for WAN, and boom, stable connection. this camera has a 180 degree horizontal field of view, compared to other brands out there, that field of view is best on the market, besides the 360 degree dlink camera. ive read the reviews on amazon where i bought this camera, and alot of people who have owned this camera have had not so good luck with getting stability, so they return them, so i thought id write this review to get people to buy this camera and be able to use it fully forbwhat it was actually intended for. the pc app i used was, "IP CAMERA VIEWER 4". I hope this helps out some consumers that dig the 1080p resolution and the 180 degree horizontal field of view, and want stability too. any questions dont be afraid to email at ice_9_2888@live.com

There is also a new D-Link app as well, "MyDLink" app.

I believe mydlink Lite app maybe no longer developed on as time goes on.
