Hi I keep getting this error every few days and I have to restart my router in order to gain access back to the web utility. I reflashed the fw a second time with no success. I have read about this trip 30 reset but have had no luck finding a post which describes how to go about that method.

thanks

What Browser are you using?
Try a different browser and see if it does the same thing?
Any 3rd party firewall programs installed?
What OS are you using?

Additional tips
What HW version is your router?
What FW version is currently loaded?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?

Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual?
Turn off QoS options.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.

What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode G or mixed G and N on each radio?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA2 and Cipher type to AES only if your device support this.

Hi I tried some of the steps you put down and I still had no luck. I am gonna give as much info as I know.

browser: firefox, also tried internet explorer 9

firewall: I have kaspersky internet security

OS: win 7 ultimate

HW version: B1

FW version: 205NA

isp: DSL

modem: standalone speedstream 5100

1. dsn is being filled

2. I turned it off no effect

3. This one I am not sure how to do

4. also not sure how to do this

5.I setup reserved ip addresses no help

6. before reserving ips all my devices were setup to auto obtain ip

7. tcp and udp set to endpoint independent

8. I have tried wireless N only and wireless G/N

9. I have no security setup

Any suggestion would be a big help since I am lost to why I get this error in the first place.

thanks

Turn off Kaspersky temporarily. If you can get the router going, it's not really recommended to have a 3rd party firewall installed as the router usually handles most of that kind of traffic.
Also make sure that the browser and internet settings dont' have have proxy options set up. They should be all a direct connection to the internet.

Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option Setup/Internet/Manual on the routers web page.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking on the routers web page.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address and not reserved on the device.

Just wanted to update I know its been a while but so others know I tried the new 2.06 and it also gave me the same issue as 2.05 so I just went back to 2.03 and no 404 problems at all.

Would be interesting if this problem tracks if you put this router on a different pc like a friends or neighbors.  ::)
