DCS-5635/5605 API/URL documentation?

Subject pretty much spells it out. We are curious if there is a way to control the camera outside of the D-Link software. We'd like to integrate its operation into a larger project... Tried a few of the URL schemes for other DCS cameras documented on the FTP site. But not even a simple:

  http://<servername>/cgi-bin/video.jpg

used for many of the models doesn't seem to be valid. Any clues or pointers?
