is it the only option? I have couple of items connected and it would be a pain to re-do all that...

Do you know whats the problem right now? Why is it not connecting properly?

Something seems to be in conflict or something when it's connected to this router using 192.168.1.1.
You sure you don't have any other devices using 1.11?

One thing you can try, Disconnect ALL other devices accept for 1 wired PC and the DNS. Change the routers ip address to .0.1 temporarily. See if you can get the DNS working there. If you can, then go in and change the DNS to a static IP address of 192.168.1.20 and the gate way to 192.168.1.1. Save settings then power Down the DNS. Go back and change the routers IP address back to 192.168.1.1. Reboot the router and your PC and check that you can access the internet. Then power ON the DNS. Try accessing 192.168.1.20 after the DNS is ready.

What is the DHCP IP address pool set for on the DSL modem? 192.168.1.100 thru .200?

I think the pool is set for 192.168.1.1 and up
In the router I have a list of devices and their IP is from 192.168.1.2 to x.x.x.14 and the DNS is 192.168.1.11 (not sure how to include a screenshot).

but how do I change DNS IP when I cannot access the webUI? I run the wizard again?
and not sure how to change IP of the router ;/ sorry, I dont have much experience in this field

ok, I found some settings on the router
the range is from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254
DHCP Lease Time : 24h
DNS server addresses: 192.168.1.1

and I guess here I would be able to change the IP address to: Router IP Address: 192.168.1.1

I took the modem to the other apartment and with the same settings it works ;///
should I still change the range?

In the other place where it is not working I also have 3 wireless D-link video cameras working (2 DCS-932L and 1 DCS-5020L) and obviously couple of other devices connected to the network. Could that interfere?

Also, if I change the range, do I need to re-run the set up (or at least reconnect) other devices? Re-run setup for the wireless cameras? I guess their IP would change.

Everything starts to crash when I link my myDLink account. It happened again now and it's not working anymore.

I'm getting ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error like in the other place ;/ I am sure that this is the problem, but don't know how to revert that now.

I removed the link via my myDLink panel, but that didn't help. The ShareCenter WebUI remain unreachable

One problem at a time.  :o Where you able to get the DNS working at this location where your having problems at by changing the router to a temp 192.168.0.1 address?


If you power off the cameras, then back on, they will get a new address or you could set up static IP addresses as well for the cameras. It' what I use. Then you don't have to worry about them.

Didn't have enough time to try that...
That's why I took the router back with me to test it. The setup worked until I linked my DLink account. Once I did that just a moment ago the ShareCenter UI stopped loading.

This maybe something your regional D-Link support office needs to have a look at. I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Reference this forum thread if needed. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

This may be a strange question but what browser are you using to try and connect to your NAS and have you tried a different one or even tried using a tablet with browser to connect?

I tried different browsers and operating systems... Mac, Windows... Chrome, Firefox and I tried opening on my mobile... and its not loading... its definitely something with the linking ShareCenter with myDLink account... it happened two times and instantly after the webUI stops loading.

I've requested some assistance from DLink Italia and I'll see if they will be able to help otherwise I am not sure what could I do.

Were you able to get the DNS switched over to using 192.168.1.###?
