easily turnon/off motion detect
« on: March 13, 2016, 10:35:09 AM »

is there a way to easily (without accessing config panel) turn on/off motion detect on my two DCS-5020L when i come/leave home?
i have the app on my windows phone but its terribly slow . and with 2 cameras , it doubles the pain .
know i can schedule but i dont have a so predictable schedule .
I want a simple command ( like the CGI commands i could create with my previous Foscam IPCAM ) to click and activate everything . any idea ?

thanks,
Fabio

Get one of those smart plug devices and use the app to turn on/off the cameras.  Leave motion detection always on.  Just turn off quickly when you get home and turn on when leaving.

Hello,

Here is the URL to use:

Motion on:
/motion.cgi?user=#username#&pwd=#password#&MotionDetectionEnable=1&ConfigReboot=no

Motion off
/motion.cgi?user=#username#&pwd=#password#&MotionDetectionEnable=0&ConfigReboot=no
