Title: Firewall questions
Post by: skubinnada on October 25, 2008, 10:48:14 PM
Hello all,
I recently was playing around with the logging on my router and noticed that about 98% of it is messages indicating my client sitting in the DMZ is being blocked when it tries to send ICMP (type 3) messages.  Is there any way to modify the firewall on a more granular level so as to eliminate the blocking?  For example:

[INFO] Sun Oct 26 13:19:50 2008 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.192 to 189.131.78.212
[INFO] Sun Oct 26 13:19:47 2008 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.198 to 200.150.177.181

Any thoughts?
I appreciate any thoughts you might have.

What HW and FW versions do you have on your router?

You can try to change the log settings under the 'Tools' section of the router GUI
