DIR-857 HD Media Router and 4TB drive
« on: April 10, 2013, 04:05:23 PM »

I've searched the forums and cannot seem to find an answer.
Does the DIR-857 support 4TB drives via the USB 3.0 port? This is a make or break decision for me when considering purchasing this product. The Asus RT-66U DOES support 4TB out of the box, however I've had intermittent drops / WiFi connection issues with that router.

Drives that have been tested or experienced by users:

I personally would not want to wait for any router to refresh the file content table for 4Tb drive over USB.  ::)
Would probably take forever.

I don't think anyone has experienced at 4Tb drive yet though...

You might contact DLink support and ask what there official word is.
