There appears to be a bug with the create directory by day/hour/whatever option. If you un-check this the process works, but obviously does not create directories. There was another post about this in 2012. It seems the problem is still not fixed ?

It is highly unlikely the username is blank.

Can you even connect to this in filezilla with a black username?

Hi Bruno! Can you please send me the link to the thread that discussed this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi RYAT3! Ive already done the testing with almost all possible combinations, including using a non-blank username. I will try the solution provided by Bruno to see if I got more luck.

Did you ever solve this issue? I cannot FTP video files with my DCS-933L in combination with a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router (to a USB stick). It was working fine with a Netgear 3700. The cam gives problems with creating folders (FTP). It's not creating AVI files because the date-time folder is not created. The cam can create folders on a QNAP NAS with FTP. Strange issue.
