DNR-202L - Device compatibility
« on: September 29, 2013, 08:28:09 PM »

The data sheet isn't clear as to whether or not the IP cameras must be Dlinks...

"...high-quality remote monitoring functionality and serves as a well featured digital replacement for older surveillance systems."

That statement suggests that it may work on non-Dlink cameras...

Is there any way to find out for sure?

Hi,

Do you know when the DNR-202L will be available in Europe?

It looks as though it will be available first in the USA from mid October.

Thanks

I've been informed by D-Link that the DNR-202L is only compatible with all mydlink Cloud cameras (except for the DCS-940L). The DNR-202L does not support D-Link business class cameras, non-D-Link Cloud cameras, and cameras by third party manufacturers.

Thanks for doing the research.

Too bad it only supports Dlink cameras... no sale. :(

No worries. No single device will meet everyone's needs.  ;)

Hi,

I'm very interested in this recorder.  Do you know if the DCS-5010L will work with this recorder.  DLink does not specifically call this a "Cloud Camera", however, other sites do.  Can you please clarify?

Thanks

The compatible camera list I have posted is for firmware version 1.40.  Firmware version 1.50 is released, but I haven't seen a published list of compatible cameras for that version, so it's possible that the DCS-5010L is supported, but I can't validate.  What site did you see the DCS-5010L listed?

I have not seen compatibility on any particular site.  DLink doesn't even call the DCS-5010L a cloud camera, however other sites do.  The description for the DNR-202L says that it will work with cloud cameras.  So there is a bit of confusion here.  Clarification would certainly be nice from someone...  The customer service provided by DLink it terrible!

Oops! Your question was posted on the DNR-322L board and I'm guilty of not carefully reading the subject, so I thought you were talking about that device, not the DNR-202L (too early in the morning!). As far as the DNR-202L is concerned, I haven't seen anything in the way of compatibility lists. Hopefully we'll have a DNR-202L board up soon to start some discussions and post more current information.  :-\

EDIT:  DNR-202L Board is up and running!
