Upgraded my router f/w(asus) and a dcs2230 camera wouldn't stay connected. Grrr.nothing has moved.
Unplugged and plugged in again 5 times with and with out sd card (thought card might be causing problems).would work 10 minutes before dropping out completely street losing game rate.
Had recently wired an acti poe box cam nearby. .so borrowed that drop and plugged in.
Son o***un, not a dropped frame, don't see any loss in video. ...set up a tplink 10/100/1000 switch and everything is sweet.
Wired up another 2 2230s, and everything is still perfect streaming.
Hands down -use a network cable when possible.

One nice thing is if you have the wireless setup and pull the Ethernet cable it connects wireless without hassle,so no real need to have the switch on a ups.

Well that one 2230 is acting up and becoming unresponsive. Slow to give images and the f/w is slow or times out.
I power cycled it this morning too. .
Will pull sd card (was recording fine last time i checked with issue). It's wired still (unless that failed and it switched to wireless? )

Talked to yourself I see. ::)
What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?
What is the distance between the cameras and the main host router?
- Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
- Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use InSSIDer (http://www.techspot.com/downloads/5936-inssider.html) to find out. How many? Use v3, its free.
