Fun plug 0.7 rsyncd setup issues
« on: April 24, 2014, 05:34:21 AM »

Hi All,
My first post, so be gentle :)
I have fun plug 0.7 up and transmission is working a treat.

I am struggling to configure rsyncd as a server.
I have only found info for fun plug 0.5, have I missed it somewhere?

Tried editing the rsyncd.conf and changing the drive path = /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Backup
The it complained about the rsyncd.pid file, I edited the rsyncd.sh and commented oout the pid file check and the rsyncd is running.
When I try and run an rsync job I get these errors;
Warning: Identity file file:///home/ian/.ssh/known_hosts not accessible: No such file or directory.

ssh_askpass: exec(/usr/bin/ssh-askpass): No such file or directory

Host key verification failed. rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [sender] rsync error: unexplained error (code 255) at io.c(605) [sender=3.0.9]
I renamed the known_hosts and manually ssh's into the nas and the backup_user account i setup with read & write access, logged in and accepted the key, this creates the known hosts file again. copied the known_hosts to a folder root can access just to try and see if it was a permission problem, didnt work.

I'm stuck?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Ian
