firmware update
« on: April 08, 2011, 09:50:08 AM »

hi, Im trying to update my 320 to the latest firmware 2.0.1 but it keeps saying it failed. Am I doing something wrong? I have downloaded the zip file, browse to that file in the dns web config page and click update. But it loads and then says failed.  >:(

Try using a different browser. I have seen this occasionally with Chrome.

U need to unzip the file you downloaded.

I know its strange but the 320 doesn't tell you, that you have picked the wrong file type.

Yes you can map separate folders to certain pc's. You can rename the 'mapped drive' on your PC side but not on the NAS side.

ok im having a little difficulty with mapping my drives in windows explorer, im using windows 7 HP, i can map the, using the easy search, but i cant seem to be able to map them via a host or ip address. I have enabled NFS and given the folders unique host names. Am I missing something here?

TS, where did you download firmware v2.01 from? AFAIK, the latest is v2.00 (aka v2.00b6).

Hi, it's here: ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/dns/DNS-320/firmware/

I downloaded the one at the bottom unzipped and it said v2.0.1

Are you referring to DNS-320_FW.zip? Where did it state it's v2.0.1?

Did a MD5 check on the content and it's the same as v2.00.
