I did try that, but it just has it "camera is not available" and i don't have the option of removing the device, so if there is another way of removing it off of my dlink I would like to know.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I'm having the same exact issue as you. It all started after I upgraded my firmware to Firmware Version 1.05.04 (2016-09-09)
Hardware Version A
Agent Version 2.1.0-b41

Before the upgrade, cameras were rock solid, never went offline or anything. Now they drop off the internet access non stop, I can access them on my local LAN but not through the cloud service. If I reboot them, it resolves it until the next day and I check again and they show offline. It has to be a bug in the firmware. Both my camera's are doing this.

Edit: i tried to downgrade the firmware on one of them and it went fine but now cloud services NEVER connect, even after multiple reboots, only works on the LAN.

Edit 2: On the device where I downgraded...it could not get it to connect to the cloud at all. So i reinstalled the latest firmware again and at least now I'm back connected to the cloud services. I'm sure it will drop off by morning ... WEIRD STUFF happening with these firmwares.

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?
  • Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
  • Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner to find out. How many?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.93  DHCP

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

Has a factory reset been performed after updating FW then set up from scratch?

Thank you for your reply. I've had these camera's setup for over a year, with ZERO issues until I upgraded the firmware on both of them to the latest version.

I'm located in Charlotte, NC USA.
My router is Netgear X4S AC2600
The distance between the camera's and router are probably roughly 20-30 feet.
I have maybe 7 wireless devices connected to my router at any given time.
No cordless phones in my house.
There are wifi routers in my area but it has never been an issue before the latest firmware
My camera's are using DHCP but have a static assignment given out by the router per mac address of the camera.
The camera's have not been reset to default as I don't want to have to redo the configs on them.

There maybe a configuration issue with the old configuration and the new FW. I recommend doing a factory reset on one of the cameras and see.

FYI, if you have an IP address assignment from the main host router, that's called a IP address reservation, not a Static. Static IP address is an address input on a device. Not the router. There different. I use this configuration and my 933L has be online and flawless.
DHCP

On the other camera you could downgrade that one to the prior version and see...

thanks for that information. I will try to do a reset tonight on one of them and set it up new to see if it's a configuration issue. What's the best way to do this? Just push the reset button on the camera? Can I leave it associated with my online account or does it have to be removed first?

You can try either the button or use the UI to reset it. I recommend doing this while the camera is connected via LAN cable with the main host router as one you reset the wireless will not be connected until you walk thru the setup software after the reset.

No, don't disassociate the camera from the MDL service. Once you walk the set up wizard, it should ask you if you have an account or not. Select that you already have an account and just input the MDL account info there.
