When I try to connect to dlink on my Iphone there is a padlock symbol on it, and it requiers a password , how do I find this passwrd out please. I have a DIR-615 and am tech noob. Also I lost the info that came with the router. Is there any way to find out my password that an idiot can understand? Thanks if you can help ;D

Log into the routers web page and you can set up a password for WiFi under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Open a browser and type in 192.168.0.1. You'll need the password to log in if you have that. If you don't then you'll need to do a factory reset of the router which will clear all passwords and set everything back to defaults which will have no passwords on the admin log in or the WiFi. I recommend setting up a new wireless name (SSID) for the wifi and then you can set up a new password that you can remember.
Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA2. Auto TPIK and AES.
Let us know if you need more help.

Thank you for the response FurryNutz, I did have the password on the bottomside of the router which enabled me to get on the administration page, following the 192.168.0.1, I found the manual setup, where it stated a WEP code that does actually ring a bell, I have not altered anything as yet, I think that WEP code is my password that I need to access the WIFI on my phone. If it is not I will be sure to follow your advice, however I would not have refound that were it not for you. Thank you again.

Glad you were able to find the are to go. WEP is not a preferred security mode for wireless as it's been hacked and can be compromised. Use WPA personal and Auto TPIK and AES modes. Then you can input your own password that you can remember and easier to use that way.
