I purchased A Dlink DWA-182 AC1200, after a long process of trying to get it too connect to my modem (I sorta forgot how I did but I finally did in the end). After I believe one or two turn off's for my pc, when it got to the windows screen which flashes the 4 coloured leaf and windows logo it goes black as usual then doesn't do anything at all. I restarted and it did not help, I had to restart in safe mode and uninstall everything for dlink and it finally restarted properly. My pc had told me it was the driver that did this to prevent start-up, and was severely disappointed. I tried again to install with using the latest firmware and it did the same thing. Is there anything the support could do to get this product to work properly on my computer? I know it is fairly new but it only works if I never turn my computer off ever again. Could you please help with my problem? Regards. My computer is also roughly 3 and a bit years old.
PC SPECS:
CPU: Intel i5 3570k (not overclocked)
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 970 4gb
Motherboard: GA-Z68XUD4
HDD: 2 HDD - 1 western digital 1tb and another 2tb.
RAM: 8GB Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz
OS: Windows 7 64BIt SP1

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations
  • Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.

Are you using the drivers from the CD or more recent ones from the main web site? Recent drivers from the main site is preferred.
Is the Motherboard drivers for this PC up to date? USB and such?

Install on a different PC and see if the problem follows...
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
