Speed Drop
« on: December 12, 2017, 09:29:48 AM »

Hello every one, I am facing a strange issue with my D-Link 605L (Firmware Version 2.04 Hardware B1)

The problem is when-ever my PC is running i am getting good Speed on my Mobile Phones (Android/IOS). As soon as i switch off my PC my wifi slows down. And if i keep just my CPU power ON (not starting pc) i get proper wifi on Mobiles.

Tried many places but didn't find any solution. Please help me out.

Updated to Firmware: DIR-605L B1 FW V2.05 will check and see how it goes.

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?
  • Has a Factory Reset been performed?
  • Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?
  Link> >FW Update Process

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
  • What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have? Link> Speed Testing Sites

I would check the PC to see if something on the PC is using bandwidth and tying up speedings.

Besure to always test wired LAN cable for speed testing first. Ensure ALL background apps and any PC security is temporally disabled while speed testing.
