Title: mydlink.com stuck on loading screen
Post by: fiveseven15 on December 13, 2015, 09:49:32 PM
it is stuck at the loading sequence that shows all the devices going into the cloud, after login

tried with both mac & PC, chrome & firefox on both computers, as well as safari and internet explorer.  not sure what is happening, but i cannot get into mydlink.com, i'm guessing that is where i need to be to get the DNR-202L to show in the mydlink app?  it disappeared after the firmware install, and i've gone so far as to delete and reinstall the app, still no luck getting it to show the DNR. in iOS.  any help? kinda disappointed this whole setup causes so many problems.  do they not test and QA these things before releasing them?

Are you seeing the mdl services plug in screen at all?

Testing is performed before releasing. It's not always a D-Link issue. I can connect to the MDL services and see my devices from work. I can connect with my iPhone 6P iOS 8.4 to my DCS-933L camera too.

Hi,
Same problem here, it works fine on my phone (Android) but the live view stuck on "loading" on both my home (Windows 10) and my work (Windows 7) computer, whichever browser I use : Chrome/Firefox/IE (on Edge it says "browser not supported" - time to update guys).
I've of course installed the plugin: mydlink services plugin 1.0.2.6

[EDIT] : I've read the "mydlink and Browser FAQ" but there's no way I'm going to change around half the Chrome settings just because MyDlink sucks... sorry.
It's your job to make something that works, not Chrome or IE to adapt to your stuff.

MDL services is working for me with IE11 in Windows 7x64. I see there was a new plug in, v1.0.2.7 that was needing installed. After installation, I closed IE11 and relaunched it and signed in and was able to connect to my DCS-933L camera.

is this still a problem for anyone else?

I have tried all of my browsers on Windows 10.

Chrome:  47.0.2526.106 m
Firefox:  43.0.2
IE: 11.20.10586.0

Every single one of them worked just as expected.  I like to gather more information on who's not working and find out why if you let us. Thanks!

Hi,
It did work for a while on my home PC, on Chrome & Firefox but not anymore on Chrome (ABP & Disconnect whitelisted), just on Firefox now.
Never worked from the office, I had my network specialist looking at it, he says it's not firewall related.
Does someone have a list of addons/Javawhatever that are required?
I obviously got the Dlink addon (v1.0.2.6 on Chrome, 1.0.2.7 on Firefox).

I think the only item needed now is the plug-in:

I know chrome as removed features like NAPAPI support from there browsers which Java needs support for in use of there plugin. http://www.ghacks.net/2015/04/15/chrome-42-blocks-java-silverlight-other-plugins-by-default-now/ (http://www.ghacks.net/2015/04/15/chrome-42-blocks-java-silverlight-other-plugins-by-default-now/)

I would use IE or FF with the mydlink services for now.

In Chrome Flags does not appear the NPAPI to enable it, so it seems will have to use explorer or firefox by now

Probably was removed by Google then.

Use IE or FF.
Enjoy.

don't take this the wrong way but shouldn't it be Dlink's problem more than Chrome's? I mean, Chrome's market share is what, over 50%? And you would like us to use something else just because Dlink can't make something that works on it?
Personnaly, the next one I'll buy will not be a Dlink because of that (and that the camera config is just useless, I mean I can't have it record on activity only during a time frame, how lame is that? iSpy does that for free so much better with a webcam).

Have you been in contact with D-Link support yet? Changes like this are effected by Google and Chrome. I presume if changes like this are happening that D-Link is aware of them and maybe working on a alternative solution for that browser. I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. I recommend using a browser that is less effected by Google and Chrome changes in mean time. We can do anything else here in the forums as this is beyond forum help.

Good Luck.

Works for me in Chrome Version 50.0.2661.75 m   and the previous version 42 or 43 (only updated 2 days ago to latest chrome

It has to be NPAPI - what version Chrome do you have?

But I never use mydlink apps or via web except to update firmware if I see a notification on this forum

Why anyone feels the need to use poor services/tools I have no idea

I access all files on mobile via ES FileExplorer
I stream/play all media via Kodi
I access all folders via Windows PC
and Bookmark NAS apps in browser or access webgui

I'll throw my hat into the ring.  Since I installed my two 2630L and one 2330L cameras in March I've observed the same thing.  myDlinkLite for my Android phone and also my ipad are able to connect and navigate around cameras and settings without a problem.  Regardless of if I'm using Chrome, IE, or Firefox I generally get the same results of a perpetual "loading", "connecting to device" or "retry" messages.  I do see my cameras listed and also the settings tabs.  Occasionally if I'm patient enough and have nothing else to do, I can get it to connect on my computer.  At this point, the only reason I need to use my computer is if I need to get to the ADVANCED settings since myDlinkLite doesn't have access to those.  When I'm on site later this month I'll be adding port forwarding on my router to the camera web pages so that I'll be able to get to the advanced-settings web page without going through myDlink.com.

Be sure to enable uPnP Port Forwarding as well.

Update:  Have set up router at my remote site with port forwarding directly to cameras and DNR-312L devices.  Can access their web pages in their entirety without going through myDlink website or apps.  I now use the mydlink mobile apps which seem to work well for quick peeks while going directly to my devices web pages directly for management activities.  Seems to be a good compromise 8)
