If not is this something that can be added via a software upgrade in the future?

Thanks

This model router was designed probably with out any guest capabilities and just allows anyone access based on if you give out the password to your guests. Adding extra features will probably not happen for this router aside any fixes that DLink catches.

I would presume that if you need a router with guest wireless capabilities, you might want to find one that does. The DIR-657 and 655 series routers have this option. I presume there are other models too.
