Access logs show incorrect URLs
« on: September 28, 2010, 01:37:07 AM »

Hello!
I've set up an access control with "Log Web Access Only" for one computer on our lan, when I look at logs I see that there is a length limit per address, so router will store/display only NN number or characters per URL, which will make the displayed address faulty. Is this correct statement?

Besides that undocumented "feature" there is also another weird thing going on, when url displays twice or something else added to it at the beginning. I think this is happening when used proxy, I'm not sure about it.
Here is an example of a possible "bad" url it displays:
Code: [Select]
[INFO] Tue Jul 20 15:44:35 2010 Web site example.comhttp://example.com/affiliates/gallery/mayfair accessed from 001122334455(note, a stripped domain displayed before http://)

or sometimes it's like this:
Code: [Select]
[INFO] Tue Jul 20 15:44:35 2010 Web site 201.21.245.24http://example.com/affiliates/gallery/mayfair accessed from 001122334455(some unkown IP or different domain added up front)

Is this a bug? any way fix this?

Thank you.
