Title: FW 2.10 break email?
Post by: steve841 on September 17, 2015, 06:27:02 AM
Anyone else who sends notices to an email server notice there is now an authentication error since the new firmware was released?

What email service do you use?
Be sure you are entering in all email values correctly.

I use my own server ...  which I've used with my cameras for years.

Nothing has changed but the firmware update. And it is affecting a few different models of cameras ...

So, I tend to reason the firmware is the cause.

Can you revert back to the last working version to see if this resolves?
Factory reset, manually load FW, factory reset once more then set up from scratch.

Is there an FTP area to get the previous firmware?

FWIW .... here's the log from the mail server.  This is a few transactions one successful "WebCAM" and the other fails ...

It almost looks like the EHLO greeting is sent improperly from the camera's new firmware.

Confirmed.

The new firmware breaks the emails sent from the camera.

As soon as the old firmware uploaded, everything worked fine.

My affected cameras:
DCS-2132LB1
DCS-2332L

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email or FB> https://www.facebook.com/mydlink?fref=ts.
Let us know how it goes please.
