Title: French DIR-655 bought from a UK website

The DIR-655 I was sold in the UK via the internet by EWlink has arrived in a “French” box. I.e. all the text on the box is in French and on the bottom of the box it would appear that all of France is different in spectrum regulations to the rest of the UK and Europe? (b = 10mW as opposed to b = 100mW)

Before I open the packaging for the first time, I wish to know whether the instructions inside will have an English version, whether the GUI etc will be available in English and whether the different spectrum regulations will have an impact?

Or in other words, should I send the French DIR-655 back and demand an English version? Or will it make no difference apart from the packaging?

Can I change the firmware to make it an English version?

In the EU firmware there is the option to select the language for the interface.

Running the 1.33NA myself so cannot point to the exact place where it is right now.

I took a gamble and went for it. (Mainly because the company that sold it to me, failed to cover so many things in the distance selling regs that i knew I could return it even after opening the box)

Everything works grand... and I saw not a word of French during the setup, as it all started in English!

D-Link support systems is pants though; could register a problem etc but the system would not let me describe the problem or upload receipts etc? For either Firefox 3.6 or for IE 8... LOL I get two emails from D-Link support (cause I tried twice to list the problem) saying that I had not described the problem... can't reply to the emails though, and I still can't use the support site properly?
