Title: DCS-930L setup question
Post by: min68 on June 18, 2011, 10:58:07 PM
Just bought a DCS-930L. Have some difficulty to set it up. My router is D-Link DI-624, Using ADSL modem to Internet.
1, If set DCS-930L Setup/Network Setup/Lan Setting to DHCP: My Internet getting disconnected from time to time, and DCS930L itself also disconnected from time to time (by ping 192.168.0.100). This(disconnection) happened every a few seconds to 1 minute. But when connected, through myDlink I can see video.
2, If set DCS-930L Setup/Network Setup/Lan Setting to Static IP(192.168.0.20), Primary DNS=192.168.0.1(router), default gateway same 192.168.0.1: Exactly same problem as above 1
3, If set DCS-930L Setup/Network Setup/Lan Setting to Static IP(192.168.0.20), Primary DNS=192.168.0.1(router), default gateway leave blank: Internet and 930L themselves are good , always connected. I can view video through 192.168.0.20, but myDlink always shows camera is offline
4, I cannot setup email successfully. While test always showing  "Cannot connect to SMTP server". Tried several of my email accounts, port 465/587, none of them work. I am not sure if it's related to above setting 3 though.

Another question though, how to setup other people can watch 930L live video through browser? I am not talking about myDlink or 192.168.0.20 because they can access 930L setup, I just want other to watch video only , through password control.

Thanks

I fixed all my problem by disabling router's UPNP.

One more question. When I want to view live video by input web address to http://[my address]/mjpeg.cgi , then input 930L's username/password, Firefox is working perfect showing live video, but IE didn't show video, and asked me to save .cgi file.  How to set IE to show video rather than save mjpeg.cgi file?
