Title: DDNS works, then stops - Maybe...
Post by: brian4d on December 02, 2010, 06:09:13 AM
Well here is my problem.  My 920 works great inside the network but when I leave and check it remotely it stops working sometimes meaning, if I reset the DDNS from home it will work for about 12 hours then stop working again.  I have opened ports 80-80 (maybe 80-81?) and setup my account with dlinkddns.com and triple checked the settings are right.  I have turned on the DDNS through the webcam not the router.  I am not sure about the DCHP settings or the UNPnp settings.  I'll check when I'm home for lunch today.  I think the IP is not updating but I can't be sure.  BTW I'm running a d-link router as well, not sure what model.

I suggest you to set up your ddns on the router. Its know when your connection IP changes and refresh it in your DDNS service.
