Title: Bug report for DGL-4500 Firmware 1.03 beta
Post by: MrDoomMaster on June 11, 2008, 08:22:56 AM
Hi,

This bug existed in Firmware v1.02 as well.

The problem:
Using a complex password with non-alphanumeric characters in it breaks the Tools >> Admin page in the web interface for the DGL-4500.

My steps to reproduce:
1) Perform a factory reset on your DGL-4500 with either firmware version 1.02 or 1.03 beta.
2) Once the reset is finished, immediatly go to the Tools >> Admin page in the web interface and change your admin password to something 14 characters long with 2 quotation marks in it (")
3) Save the settings and perform a reboot if requested.
4) Once reboot is finished, go back to Tools >> Admin and notice how the "Save Settings" and "Don't Save Settings" buttons do not function. Also, many of the options on this page do not function as they normally would (password fields are empty, remote management edit controls are empty when they normally have default values).

I hope this is fixed in 1.03!

I've replicated the test. Thanks for the input.

New beta available. I would love to see the same detailed feedback as performed on 1.03. See sticky post at top for new beta information.
