I recently purchased a DCS-2330L. It seems like a cool gadget, except a few things. I want it to record continuously to catch vandals outside my house. It seems it will only store files that are about 1 minute in length. This is a little annoying for playback. If anyone has a suggestion about this, I would love to hear it. The real problem I have now is that I am not able to play video files (mp4) saved on the SD card. I log directly onto the camera using the IP address. I download files to my computer. Both Windows Media player and Quicktime fail to play the file. I get the following messages:
WMP: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
QT: Error -2048 could not open RecSD-20140210_074551.mp4 because it is not a file that QuickTime understands.
Very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download and try VLC, its a great universal player of video files. Find it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
