Title: Cannot connect to camera
Post by: marts on June 04, 2018, 04:44:13 AM
Hi,

Im sorry if the thread seems old but I have exactly the same problem as joustr.  DCS 936L Firmware 1.05.07.  Using Iphone X with MyDlink Lite. Router is TPLink Archer C2.  I followed the steps outlined by joustr.  I also tried to enable both UPnp and Port Forward, but i still cant connect to the camera thru the app.  It connects to the wifi ok.  I can see the live video through the web browser but nothing on the app.  I can also see the camera on the "Local Cameras" tabe but none in the remote.

All I want is to be able to view the camera remotely.

Thanks in advance.

Btw my knowledge of routers and computers is spotty at best so please bear with me.

What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.93  DHCP (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58017.0)

Can you try using the newer mydlink app?

Local cameras are for when your at home on the same network as the cameras. Remote is for when your away from home, say at work or on vacation.
