DES-1228P & DWL-3200 VLAN problems
« on: October 09, 2009, 08:57:04 AM »

First let me list my VLAN configuration:

VID   VLAN Name   Untagged VLAN Ports   Tagged VLAN Ports
1   Church                  1-19, 25-28                          20-23
2   Guest                          24                          20-23
3   Shared                       20-23

Switch Firmware: 1.31.01
DWL-3200 Firmware: 2.50

I have 4 DWL-3200's on VLAN 3 with Multiple SSID's. The Primary SSID has WPA Auto Enterprise set with TKIP and using a RADIUS server configured for VLAN 1. The second SSID is an open system with VLAN 2. The problem is that when I put a DWL-3200 on the Shared VLAN, the second SSID routes properly, but I cannot access the primary SSID network. When I plug it into a port on the Church VLAN, it sees the RADIUS server fine, but the second SSID does not route properly. Any help would be appreciated.

The right way of doing this would be to remove the "Shared" VLAN,  The AP should be on a port that is untagged on your management VLAN (the Church VLAN) and is tagged on the guest VLAN.

Set up MSSID and VLANs on the DWL-3200AP to make the church SSID your primary and add an additional for guests on the appropriate VLAN tag.  Remember it is the VID (number from 2-4096) not the name that identified your VLANs between devices.
