Rear antenna connector
« on: April 22, 2011, 03:04:45 PM »

I have noticed on the DIR-600/601 A1 board there is an unused place for an RP SMA female plug right angle antenna connector, and it seems to carry an AC voltage.

Does anyone know if it can be used? I'd like to convert to a detachable antenna and this would seem like a nicer solution than having an internal antenna cable.

It is not quite in the right position to take advantage of where the antenna exits at present, and the PCB connector can be had for $1 with postage.

I tried... no luck; maybe it needs activating in firmware...
