The 4500 MAC address filtering happens on wired/wireless also.  On my Juniper SSG-5 the MAC address filtering would only effect wireless and not touch the wired.

When I first configured the 4500, I was hooked up via wired to it and locked myself out, ROFL.  I had to reset it and made sure to add my wired addy in..

I did the same thing an hour after I bought the router. Plugged it in and immediately started MAC filtering to close out the world. Little did I know that I locked myself out. . . Hard reset to factory defaults.

Is there seriously no way of having a 360 headset without having a cord connected to the controller? What is the point of having a wireless controller, and then needing a wire to your mic? Or, in my case, I want to go wired. So I have to go HDMI from 360 to TV, audio connectors from 360 to Amp, USB from AMP to 360, and wire from controller to amp? On my PS3 I can use any bluetooth or driver-less USB headset. Why was this not fixed by the...5th version of the 360? ::end rant::

I am confused???  MS has a completely wireless mic but is not surround sound or even in stereo, just a wireless mic.
I second what furry said, I have Turtle beaches X-41 wireless surround sound headset, however it is wired to the controller.  I think MS has some patent on that wireless part so no one else can use it unless it's backed by MS.

TB has a new completely wireless headset but is spendy:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/07/turtle-beachs-xp500-headset-brings-totally-wireless-7-1-to-the/

There are a couple of others but I do not know off hand what model number.

How much do you want to spend for a headset?

My set up is like this and I have full Dolby Digital surround on the 360.
360>HDMI>TV>TV's Optical out to TB transmitter>to receiver.

Depending on what TV you have, you can use the TV optical out for Dolby digital by changing a couple of settings on the 360.

Ya, there nice and all. I guess if TB or someone could make the voice connection wireless to the controller that would make it fully "wireless." However thats the rub man, thats MS territory. MS would have might have to redesign the controller or some how allow the voice to be sent via the external headset thru that device and thru the USB connection. Its' all semantics. It works. Harry will just have to put up and shut up like the rest of us.  :P

Hey Furry it was good to get a couple of games in with you and your friends,  too bad we were lagging like crazy on Launch, I hate that map, I always seem to have more bad games than good games on it.  I had to leave after that much but I think you left too???

Anyway, BO always seem to have more lag when playing with a full party, I have a theory on that but that is a discussion on its own, lol.

Still my favorite COD tile and I am looking forward to MW3!

Yeah in MW2 with stopping power, it is like playing hardcore on core, lol.
I played some MW2 a couple of weeks ago and just felt lost, what gun to use, what secondary, which button does what, lol.
When I played MW2, I only played hardcore and now I only play core so all my classes in MW2 were set up to play hardcore.

I hate wireless headsets. My point is Microsoft specifically made it propreitary so they could make more money. That is why you don't see 3rd party headsets that connect direct to the Xbox, and why even wired have to be connected to the controller. Even the best Xbox controllers out there require a bluetooth dangle to be connected to the controller. Oi
