non gigabit speeds - **Solved**
« on: August 14, 2010, 07:24:10 AM »

***EDIT- apparently i had to set the DNS-343 to 100MB only. I am using an EVA8000 and when i had the DNS343 set on auto or 1000MB the EVA would stutter. So in case anyone else has an issue with an EVA8000, set your DNS-343 to 100MB only spped.***

Howdy,

I was running my media from my Server to my mediacenter over my gigabit network but then my server crashed; someone talked me into buying the DNS-343 and it seemed like a good idea but now that i have everything setup the DNS-343 is not sending my media across at gigabit speeds. any ideas?

setup:
DNS-343 >cat6>Gigabit switch>media center

tried:
restarting DNS-343
restarting switch
restarting mediacenter
setting dns-343 to 1000bits only

not sure what else to try. right now i cant run my movies because it is clocking at about 9Mbits per sec (thats bits not bytes), which is well under what it was running before.

appreciate the help, thank you.
