I had been using 1.22b05 without the dreaded "DNS Relay" bug for the longest time. I recently upgraded to 1.31 after doing the 30/30/30 method, clearing to default settings rebooting after each change etc etc. I put OpenDNS servers in the router like I usually do. The router has been on for 3 days with no problem, until right now. I noticed that websites started to take FOREVER at "Looking up _______..." or "Connecting"
I see this all over my log:
[INFO] Tue May 05 22:15:15 2009 DNS relay ALG rejected packet from 192.168.0.199:52365 to 208.67.220.220:53
and
[INFO] Tue May 05 22:12:26 2009 Dropped packet from 192.168.0.199 to 208.67.220.220 (IP protocol 17) as unable to create new session
It's rejecting requests to the DNS server for some reason. The 2nd message is also listed for a variety of different, non-dns related IPs. Why? I haven't changed any of my internet usage behavior since the last firmware version. A few torrents here and there and a lot of online gaming. Does the new firmware version not drop sessions fast enough causing the router session table to become full? Is that why it's "unable to create new session"? This is a pretty serious bug.
