Title: DSM-312 Firmware Online Upgrade Problem
Post by: samhern on December 22, 2012, 09:43:48 PM
After powering up the DSM-312 an Online Upgrade window shows up telling a new firmware found Press OK to Continue. (v1.01.23NA). I press OK and it started the process warning to not disconnect power, then it stopped. After a reasonable time passed I had to remove power. So I attempted it again and again, until for no apparent reason it booted into the system menu and I had to re-configure the network. At this time I went into the system menu and asked for an Online Update and it worked....!!!

Did you actually install the upgrade twice, or did the system hang after the first upgrade and then it worked after reboot?

You'll have to search the web and see if any 3rd party SW is supported on this mode.

Good Luck.

I haven't seen or heard of any 3rd party firmware that would work unfortunately.
