Title: Motion detection email notifications
Post by: Twinstack on July 11, 2013, 08:02:35 AM
Prior to the upgrade (1.21) the email notification I recieved had an avi. clip embedded to just watch. Now, I'm getting an email with a url instead. I would rather have the embedded avi or mpeg4 clip. Any way to change it?
Secondly,  this situation with the media player plugin not working is another headache. I download the missing plugin, reload firefox/palemoon and keep getting the same message.

You should be able to still configure it manually.

Just log into your DCS-942L and go to snapshots or video and configure it there. Since the new way of doing email alerts runs directly from mydlink's email server, it would be a bandwidth hog + privacy concern to have it function that way.

So yeah, just turn it off via mydlink portal, log in to the web config and configure as needed by including your SMTP settings.
