DGS-3630SC LACP and Palo Alto aggregate interface
« on: July 19, 2022, 01:17:34 PM »

Good afternoon, all!
We're deploying some new DLink switches at a customer site, replacing a pair of Cisco Nexus 5540's and a 3750 stack with a pair of DXS-3400SC and pair of DGS-3630TC switches. We had some trouble moving connections from our Palo Alto firewalls to the 3630 switches. Despite port settings appearing correct, both the WAN connections failed ping tests.  The bonded pairs appeared to work; however, we found that routing on the Palo Altos was broken. After restoring the LAN pairs to their original Cisco ppositions all routing functions began functioning normally.

We're pretty sure of our configurations, but are wondering if there's a conflict between the dLink and Palo Alto implementations of LACP. Has anyone found any issues with connections to Palo Alto firewalls with the DGS-3630 switches?

Thanks to all for looking!
