hello!

i recently bought my dir-615 to hook up with my tp- td 8816 modem. After setting it up and successfully working one day, the router randomly stopped sending a wifi signal. I restarted it twice and it began to work once more. I decided to install dd wrt build 21061 for my E3 dir -615 router. Unfortunately, i could not get it to work. I have dsl internet and my isp uses PPPoE. I used the option for the set up and filled out the appropriate information, but it would not work and the internet light on the router would turn orange.

Unfortunately i decided to play around with this router at the wrong time and the people in my house needed it. I decided to quickly reflash it by going into the emergency room(holding reset button during router reset until orange button starts blinking). However when i select the official d link firmware, it simply will not change. The page is stuck loading on the d-link emergency room page with no progression whatsoever. I tried the process 3 times already.

For some reason, i can connect to the router through wifi but not through cable. When i connect through wifi i am on the dd wrt firmware. I dont think i can return the modem to the store since it is clearly on DD WRT firmware.

Can anyone please help? I'm either looking for a solution to reflashing back to stock firmware, or making the internet work on the dd wrt firmware. The internet light turns orange when i select PPPoE on the set up...

my set up on dd wrt:

Try this to get it back to OEM FW.

You'll need to refer to WRT support sites for help on configuring WRT FW.

Good Luck.

Thanks, but when i try the emergency room, it either won't load "192.168.0.1" or it will but when i click send/upload the page stays the same. It's like the page is loading forever...

Do you think it is bricked?

Check the WRT site for information on reverting back to stock FW.
If that doesn't work then you'll need to RMA the 615 back to D-Link.

Good Luck.
