I have been using a DIR-615 for about one month.  Overall it has been working just fine with one exception.  Every now and then, my laptop will crash with a blue screen error message.  I notice this happens only after I have set up and started to use the DIR-615.  I went back to my old router for a few days this week and the blue screen error stopped.  As soon as I go back to the DIR-615, blue screen errors happen again.

Any idea how to fix this?  Thank you.

Update the laptop drivers.

Normally, most DIR models will / should not cause a "blue screen."

Thanks for your suggestion.
I checked and my wireless card driver is already up to date.  What other driver(s) do I need to update?

Same thing here with DIR-685. If leave the router use 802.11n, it makes my old laptop crash. If I change wireless mode to 802.11b, everything works fine - except the reason I bought this box was the 11n!

Anything like this have never happened before. I am working with this laptop every day under 11n signal every day without problems. So I think this time the bad guy is D-link.

DIR routers do not directly affect the laptop.  Your wireless adapter is the source of the problem.  Update the drivers.

You were right! I updated the drivers for my old Intel Pros 2100 3B-adapter and no more blue screens. Cheers
