Hello everyone,
im a happy owner of a DNS-340L whit 2 drives atm, no raid.
As i use the dns on my bedroom so i have it to shutdown during my go to sleep hours (off at 1am and on at 3am)
EVERY SINGLE TIME the dns boots up, the volume_1 share on "Account Managemants" -> "Network shares" disapears, that makes me unable to access the first disk from my network.
The second share (volume_2) is there and works, for me to gain acess to the drive again from the network, i need to make a "new share" or hit the "reset network shares".
Any help?

- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
If you don't use any scheduling, does the shares remain?

When you shut down the DNS-340L are you unplugging the power as well?

EU region
Current NAS Firmware Version 1.01
Current Microprocessor Firmware Version 1.06
Firmware Date 09/05/2014
the official webpage for the 340l says there is a FW whit a newer date, "1.01b04 Firmware 07/01/2015 03:12:00" on the page, the file is
"DNS-340L_fw_revA1_1-01-0905_eu_multi_20141104" but its the same as mine, i can "Update it" but still says the version i metion above after the reboot.
Main host router? how does that make any difference? Technicolor TG784n v3
If you don't use any scheduling, does the shares remain? Nope, normal restart on webpage makes the share disappear.
When you shut down the DNS-340L are you unplugging the power as well?
No, it stays plugged, as mention above, simple restart make it disaper

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Hello again, DLink support was unable to figure it out.
Any other ideas?

If you swap out the drive with a different HDD, does Vol 1 still disappear on reboot or does it follow the swapped drive?
I recommend asking for an RMA if the problem continues either way...
