When I tried to register DCS-960L in d-viewcam, I could not find the camera model in the selection provided. So is there a way I can record DCS-960L using d-viewcam?

Any status on this?
What version of DVC are you using?
You may have to manually add the camera using it's IP address and see...

Anything regarding recording via D-ViewCam for the 960l? I'm running 4.1.1 and 1.0.4 firmware and I can't connect via IP though I can view it remotely via IP Camera apps using a dynamic dns but can't connect to it using the dns or the local IP address.

I'll check with mine as see what I find out.
Is the camera using a dynamic IP address or static? Might try a static IP address ON the camera that's out side of your main host routers DHCP IP address pool.

I'm using a static IP address for the camera. I am using a dns server and I can log in to the remotely no problem but it doesn't show up on dviewcam. I also tried it locally at my store PC and it doesn't come up using the local IP address either. I am going to do a factory restore on it because the SD card recording isn't working either. Thanks.

I'll try and check this out with my 960L as well. I was going to last nite however the DVC I have loaded I forgot the PW so I'm having to re-install it. ::)

I just did the factory restore and basic changes to static ip, the device password, and camera quality and I can add it to DVC locally and remotely. I added it as a 942L, inconsistent device warning comes up but I just ignore and it works just fine. It is recording remotely so I don't need the local SD card recording. Thanks everyone for the help!

Ok, I presume that the camera is a newer model and wasn't added or updated with current versions of DVC. I presume if D-Link does another update to DVC, it maybe added for official support.
Using a listed model should work as most of the cameras are similar as far as networking goes. ::)

I added it as DCS-2332L, ignoring the inconsistency warning. Works fine with all the functions.

Thanks for letting us know. I believe DCS-942L works as well. Could to have additional options. DVCs device pack was updated recently however only DCS-936L was added, not sure why the 960L wasn't included. ::)

Also works with "Universal model". The only thing that does not work is sound. I get a stream that reminds of the old modem sound, and it does not disappear if I turn off the microphone through the web interface, so it seems the wrong stream uri is read.
Apropos 942L profile - it does not provide sound either, but it simply gives silence.
-
Does the 2332L model give sound? Ya we found that the other models don't give sound...

Alas, no - it also gives the "modem"-like noise. :-\

Ok. I'll pass this on to D-Link and see if they can add the 960L. At least you can get video. ::)

That would be great.
Incidentally, I have a DCS-2630L added using "Universal model" profile, and there I get both video and audio correctly. So 960L seems to have it's own implementation of the audio stream.

Ya, it's done differently I believe.

Unfortunately the DCS-960L camera is currently not supported. I am not sure why and hope to get an answer. Possible incompatibility issue.
