I too am having the same problem with my DNS-343 (firmware 1.02) with four 1.5 Tb Seagate drives, i.e. unable to read disks after computer reboot.  I've checked the serial numbers of the drives on the Seagate website for recommened firmware upgrades, but the results came back as not necessary to upgrade firmware.  Should I upgrade the DNS firmware to the Beta version?

1.5 TB is only currently supported in the beta firmware for the DNS-343. Until a finalized firmware is released then it is currently the only option.

I have upgraded the firmware to the Beta version 1.02a, but am still having problems recognizing the DNS-343 after a computer re-boot.  Has a solution been reached regarding this problem?  The way it is now, every time I re-boot the computer I have to fire up a browser, open the D-Link GUI, provide a new password for myself, and then start Easy Search in order to re-connect to the NAS.  This is insane!!  Please tell me there is a solution.

I have my 343 up and running with no failures for two weeks.
I moved 750GB of data back and fourth, deleted it, and copied it back. Rock solid.
I am using 1.02a beta firmware for the 343 to allow for the 1.5 TB disks.
I updated my seagate drives, model ST31500341AS, and upgraded to the 1B firmware.
I still only got 94% when I initially tried to format raid 5 so I pulled the last drive and formatted
3 drives in raid 5 array, then reformatted all 4 and it worked.
VERY Happy.
I also tried the Hitachi drive that are posted not to work and they don't.
They did, however work in my 323.
Good Luck.
I like my DNS-343.
