Stuck at "Enable mydlink Services" stage during setup
« on: October 10, 2016, 10:40:46 AM »

I have 2 930L camera (H/W A). And I downloaded the latest firmware and setup programs. I was able to setup 1 of the 930L and added to mydlink account. However, the 2nd one gave me trouble. I finished the first 2 stages in the setup process and stuck at "Enable mydlink services". Since I added 1 camera already, I provided the login information for mydlink.com account. But there is no response at all when I click "Next" button and seems it didn't take any action...

Please help. The camera was working fine when using IP address to access. Just can't add to mydlink so I can't access from outside the LAN. Thx

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?

You might try turning OFF the 1st camera and leaving it offline. Then try doing a factory reset on the 2nd camera and set it up and see if you can get it connected correctly with the service. Use the most current SW installation package from the service support site. If you get the camera connected, then turn on the 1st camera.

Also:
I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.93 and .94 DHCP

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

Lets see if the user can get the 2nd camera installed before downgrading FW. He was able to get the other installed and set up.

1st camera is on 1.15 (latest). 2nd camera was on 1.14 and couldn't add to account. I upgraded 2nd also to 1.15 now and couldn't add to mydlink account neither. Tried already uPNP and uPNP port fowarding and seems no effect.

I will try turn off 1st camera. But I do remember I tried 2nd camera without 1st camera also...

Ok, thanks for posting. Let us know how it goes. If one added ok, the other should be added as well.

No luck in adding to mydlink account by removing the 1st camera...

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Talked with tech support but didn't get issue solved. Case # C6923939
Can't connected to mydlink server or the setup wizard no response at "Enable mydlink services" stage.
Waited after the mydlink server maintainence. Problem still the same. Guess I will gave up on this product.

The only other thing I an think of to try is to remove the one camera that's associated with the MDL service. Then try installing the one that hasn't been associated and see what happens.

Can you get the 1st camera installed and associated?

I'll pass this on to D-Link for review. Somethings not working here.  ::)
