How to Bridge 2 x DAP3690
« on: March 06, 2016, 04:03:02 PM »

Hi Everyone

I really hope someone can help

We have had 2 x DAP3690 connected (Bridged) in the past however we recently had to breake the connect, I never originally set these devices up but we now need to bridge them back together

I am currently needing to reconfigure 2 x DAP3690 in bridge mode on the 5Ghz network setting)

I can see each endpoint has multiple options (WDS, Access Point, Wireless Client etc)

I need to find out which mode each unit needs to be in to make the connection work? Does one need to be in WDS and the other in access point mode?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at the sticker under the DAP.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

You might review the user manual to see if there is any information on how to bridge the DAP...
What is the Mfr and Model# of the main host router?
Is the DAPs bridged to the Main host router or is 1 DAP bridged to the other DAP in AP mode?
